Samantha is a former three-sport athlete in high school, She grew up with a ball in one hand and a book in the other. Yet, no matter how hard she searched, she was never able to find books featuring strong female athletes.

She's always known she wanted to be a writer, and when ideas for books came to her, most of them featured strong female athletic protagonists, but her books are more than just sport stories. The Worth Series was born from a desire to provide young adults with the permission to be great in whatever path life takes them, whether it be sports, art, music, theater, engineering, community service, etc. Her books are about what it takes to overcome obstacles and gain a truer sense of self.

In addition to writing, Samantha plays catch-me-if-you can with her two young kids, tries to keep her super-charged dog exercised, attempts to learn the guitar and ukulele, and squeezes in as much fun as she can with her family.

She is the author for the Worth Series, which currently includes A Game Worth Watching and A Shot Worth Taking. The third book in the series is coming soon.
