Oh, how I wish I could start out this post telling you all about the thousands of words I’m writing daily or an upcoming book release to be excited about or some other fantastic writing news, but the truth is, I can’t. Why? Well, I’ve been busy trying to figure out how to parent a newborn and a toddler. I spend my days being outnumbered and outsmarted by little people. And in those rare moments when both kids are sleeping or not needing my attention, I wish I could say I’m squeezing in writing time, but I’m usually napping or cleaning…or napping…or cleaning to gain some semblance of order in my house.
However, just because I’m not finding much actual writing time doesn’t mean I’m not thinking about writing and constructing stories and characters in my head. Each day, I strive to try and carve out at least a little bit of writing time. That being said, I have tons of stories in the works, but two have priority right now. One is the third book of the Worth Series. The story is mostly coming together in thought, but I have managed to start writing down scenes and putting the pieces together. It’s still very much in the extremely early planning stage but it’s on my radar.
The other story I’m working on is a standalone that is not connected in any way to the Worth Series. I can’t say much about it at this point except the main character is a swimmer. Not exactly my forte, but I’m having fun learning about the sport and seeing the story come together.
That’s all I have to say right now. If you have any questions or want to connect, I love to hear from readers: firstname.lastname@example.org.
